What is infertility?
Female InfertilityAnswer
At SCI Hospital, when we talk about infertility, we mean that a couple is finding it difficult to get pregnant even after trying for a certain period. For women under 35, we usually consider it infertility if they haven't become pregnant after one year of regular, unprotected intercourse. If a woman is 35 or older, this timeframe is shorter – six months.
Sometimes, infertility can also mean a woman can get pregnant but has trouble staying pregnant. It's important to know that infertility can be related to factors in the male partner, the female partner, or sometimes a combination of both. We are here to help you understand and explore these factors.
